Welcome
to the St. James Parish Council Website, Jamaica's first ever local
government website!
We
have designed our site to make navigation as simple and efficient as
possible. To help orient yourself, please read this quick
introduction.
Homepage
The homepage is the first point of departure.
Starting at the top, the 'Quick Links' box takes you instantly to
frequently requested information such as forms for licenses and
other procedures.
The main area on the homepage organizes the Council's business
into sections, beginning with 'Local Democracy' with information on
local government and how to participate in Council affairs.
The 'Departmental' section provides detailed information on all
departments from Finance to Roads & Works. 'Parish
Profile' is designed for both newcomers to St. James and those who
would like to learn more about our history and attractions.
The 'Visitors' section offers information on attractions and
accommodation for tourists and other visitors.
The coloured boxes at right and bottom of the homepage highlight
various aspects of the Council activities and other helpful services
offered to citizens.
Navigating
inside the site
Upon entering the site from the homepage, each page has a menu
bar at left and bottom with links back to the main sections on the
homepage. To return to the homepage itself, simply click on
Home. Each section also has its own navigation menu at the top
of each page, with links to all the pages in that particular
section.
