Cleaning your Registry

If you’ve been running Windows for a while, there is a very good chance that you might have installed quite a few number of programs and removed a few as well. You might be doing this as per your convenience, adding and removing programs as and when you need them. While it is indeed a good idea to remove the programs that you no longer need, you also need to make sure that their registry values are removed. Otherwise they will not completely leave your system, and will take up your valuable system resources. You will have to be very careful so as to keep your Windows registry clean.

There is a very good piece of software that I have found recently and it is called as Registry Mechanic. It is a very useful piece of software that is used to clean up your registry and remove all of the values that are no longer useful. As you can imagine, this will clear up quite a clutter from your registry, and you will be able to get a very good performance from your computer henceforth.

All you need to do is to set up this program and initiate the clean up process. At first I was worried that it would take a lot of time for the process to be finished. But thankfully, it took only a little while for the cleaning process to take place. There are quite a lot of similar registry cleaners available on the Internet, but this one was quite easy to use and the results were good too. My system showed an improved speed in performance after the cleaning was over and I was actually able to remove a program that was refusing to disappear in spite of me uninstalling it!
